NashTech Celebrates Stuart Simpson’s Freeman of the City of London Honour

NashTech is proud to spotlight Stuart Simpson, a seasoned specialist in technology, logistics and supply chain innovation who has been a key contributor to the business for the past five years. Recently, Stuart was formally recognised through the Freeman of the City of London accolade.

With a career spanning more than four decades, his contributions to industry and civic life have taken him from early warehouse optimisation through to pioneering roles in electronic publishing, digital twinning and complex operational modelling. He has supported organisations including Volvo Truck, ABB, SaaB, Saint-Gobain, Renault, and one of the biggest commercial TV stations in the UK.

Stuart is renowned for delivering breakthrough solutions, from developing early reverse logistics models and simulating airport operations at Stockholm Arlanda to transforming advertising supply chains in commercial TV. His achievements also include working in aviation, with the UK’s national flag carrier, where Stuart and his team reimagined the Executive Club Mobile App. Additionally, while working with Italy’s largest publisher, supply chains were completely rethought for their cover-mount division.

At NashTech, Stuart focuses on helping organisations manage technical debt and leverage AI-driven, bespoke software solutions to modernise their supply chains. He continues to share his expertise through articles, webinars, roundtables and workshops, underscoring the critical role supply chains play in today’s world.
