Nick Lonsdale, CEO of NashTech – Harvey Nash Group’s Vietnam centred IT solutions business – explains why the Free Trade Agreement announced today is good news for the UK and Vietnam.

I still find it staggering to reflect on how successful Vietnam is as a nation, an economy and a destination for business. In 1999, when NashTech opened its first Vietnam office in Hanoi, we were struck by the remarkable number of bicycles on the city streets. 

Twenty years on, those same streets are adorned with achievements of economic success; modern architecture and hybrid cars have now taken the place of bikes as the most striking features.

Vietnam continues to set a global standard for economic and social ambition by embracing sustainability and driving its Industrial Revolution 4.0 agenda. The UK is an integral friend and enabler in this plan as we share our learnings and ideas on technology innovation and leadership, sustainable energy, health financial services, and digital evolution.
